About the Orchestra

Yanis Orchestra is a music project founded by a composer and conductor Michael Yanis and his wife Larisa Yanis. Just in several years Yanis Orchestra has managed to win the hearts of millions of people in the Russian Federation and neighbouring countries, such as Belarus and Ukraine, and the ones abroad, for example Great Britain, Ireland, Israel, USA, UAE. Yanis Orchestra is a participant of the Olympiad in Sochi, 2014.

Yanis Orchestra is a unique orchestra which involve musicians - alumni of the most prominent music institutes who are not only talented performers, but also are outstanding in musical experiments. During every concert a fascinating action accompanied by the sounds of vigorous samples of symphonic music unfolds on the stage. These are ballet performances in the genre of art-nouveau with light and laser installations and vocals in the background. Yanis Orchestra"s repertoire is enweaved with the gemstones of classical music and the author"s creations of the director and project inspirer, Michael Yanis.

MICHAEL YANIS - conductor and composer, has been named an Honored Artist of Russia and Ingush Republic - is an incredibly talented and peculiar person in the music world.
Member of the American Academy of Recording "Grammy" and the Television Academy "Emmy".
Michael Yanis has performed as a conductor on the most prestigious stages.

Yanis Orchestra conducted by Michael Yanis has become a regular guest of the greatest events, such as "Slavianski Bazaar" and "Yachtsman of the Year", and conquered such stages as The State Kremlin Palace, The Variety Theatre, The "Luzhniki" sports arena, Izvestia Hall and so forth.

Yanis Orchestra's moment in the sun was their partake in the Sochi Olympic Games of 2014, where the orchestra accompanied the gala concert of the figure skating Olympic champions: Tatyana Volosozhar and Maxim Tranjkov, Adelina Sotnikova, Yulia Lipnitskaya, Elena Ilyinyh and Nikita Katsalapov, who were performing their programs to Michael Yanis's composition "The sail", Meryl Davis and Charlie White, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moyer and many others.

In the concert in support of the Paralympic Games Yanis Orchestra played a composition of D. Shostakovich specially for the Paralympic champion Olesya Vladikina.

Apart from that, Mikhail Yanis together with Karen Kavaleryan composed the anthem for the Russian figure skating federation that was sung by the vocalist of the Scorpions Nataly Bayara and the tenor of the LaScala , Benjamin Bernheim. The Russia version of the anthem was performed by the winner of the Eurovision song contest, Dima Bilan.

In 2012 Yanis Orchestra performs in the State Kremlin Palace where they present the program "20 years of the Ingushetia Republic". Specially for this concert there had been created and then presented some unique music, combining the traits of archaic sound, national instruments of the East and the symphony orchestra; on the background of the play there was a choreographic performance of the State Ensemble "Ingushetia" and the . The broadcast was accomplished by the national TV-channel "Russia"

At the moment Mikhail Yanis and Yanis Orchestra are working on the instrumental album "Love symphony" in the genre of new age. A video for the song "The Sail" from this album has already won public"s hearts.

This year a great surprise awaits all the fans of Yanis Orchestra. It"s going to be a premiere of a gala concert named "Constellation 10" in which the most eminent ballet stars of the world will present the spectators with an unsurpassed one-man show designed by the fine plastique of the human body and ardent language of gestures. Each of the 10 compositions of Michael Yanis will be performed by a distinguished ballet dancer.In order to support the project, producer Larisa Yanis have released a video for one of the compositions "The God of Dance" performed by Faruh Ruzimatov and Yanis Orchestra.
